MEALS

We offer plenty of variety and do our best to provide fresh produce - PLEASE let us know of any special dietary requirements. We also recommend to our passengers who may have a difficult diet to cater for to bring some of their own preferred foods for the journey. At one point of the journey we pass through a fruit fly inspection facility, all fresh fruit and vegetables are confiscated.



CAMPING

Our tours are camping adventures and participation and involvement is required from our passengers. All camping equipment necessary for your tour will be provided by Nullarbor Traveller, Swags are our choice of bedding. You can hire a sleeping bag for $20.

Itinerary

Day 1 Springdale Café/ Fitzgerald National Park
Our adventure begins as we travel east over the Darling Ranges. After a morning break at the historic township of York we continue our journey south. Our lunch stop will be at Wave Rock, where there is the opportunity to have a look at this amazing rock formation. After lunch we drive further south to our camp near the coast of the Fitzgerald River National Park, an internationally recognized world biosphere reserve with plenty of beautiful beaches, rugged coastline. Day 2 Esperance
After a morning drive along the coast we arrive into Esperance with time to have a look around. After lunch on the foreshore a short drive brings us to the Cape Le Grand National Park where we set up camp only metres from a picture postcard beach. The afternoon is free to explore this stunning coastal park with its white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. A late afternoon hike up the granite formation known as “Frenchman Peak”. It will reward you with stunning view of the bay and islands of the Recherche Archipelago. (BLD) Swag camping-Limited showers and toilets no electricity. Day 3 Newman Rocks
It’s totally up to you how you would like to spend the morning enjoying this beautiful area. You may like to do one of the magnificent coastal walks or go for a swim or just relax and read a good book while lying on a pure white beach, you might have to share with a couple of locals, kangaroo’s that is. After lunch, we head back through Esperance and then north to the Eyre highway to start our journey east bound to our bush camping site. (BLD) Bush swag camping- no toilet, shower or electricity. Day 4 Koonalda Homestead
Today will certainly give you a sense of the size of this vast and ancient land. The Nullarbor Plain is the largest formed mass of limestone in the world and is internationally recognized for its hidden treasures beneath the ground. It has an internationally recognized cave and lake system. Today we travel through some diverse Australian country and visit old Eucla, a telegraph town buried by sand dunes. Eucla is the biggest town on the Nullarbor. Tonight we camp amongst the ruins of Koonalda Homestead, once used as a service station on the old Eyre highway. Day 5 Coodlie Park
The majestic Nullarbor cliffs, the famous wombat/camel/kangaroo road sign are some of the sights today. In season [June – October] the Southern Right Whales migrate to the Head of the Bight. Up to 100 of these amazing mammals can be seen from the scenic lookouts. Outside of the whale season you will not be disappointed with the spectacular coastline and viewing platforms that showcase the majestic Nullarbor Cliffs. We drive onto the Nullarbor Plain and across the dingo fence while travelling through Yalata Aboriginal lands. Along the way we visit the communities of Ceduna, Streaky Bay, Port Kenny and our night’s destination Coodlie Park a unique farm retreat. Our hosts Hassie, Jo and family. Nullarbor Tour - Day 5 (Great Australian Bight, Bunda Cliffs)
Day 6 Coodlie Park
This morning we go to Baird Bay to board the MV Investigator for a 4-5 hr cruise (own cost $140 inc GST). It’s a relaxing morning on the boat, viewing and swimming with dolphins and Australian sea lions. A short drive brings us to Murphy’s Haystacks, incredible granite rock formations sculptured into wondrous and weird shapes over millions of years. Driving back to Coodlie Park to pick up our sand boards we go to Talia caves and climb massive sand dunes, where we finish the day with some extreme fun sand boarding. Then when the light is right we conduct a nocturnal spotlighting tour looking for Australia’s National Emblems – Kangaroos, Wombats and Emus. Nullarbor Tour - Day 6 (Ceduna Arts & Culture Centre)
Day 7 Mikkira
This morning we have the opportunity to learn to surf for 2 hrs. Then off to the Colton Bakery - a unique wood fired bakery on the side of the highway with an honesty pay system. We meet Mark the owner of Colton Bakery and walk through this interesting bakery. We have lunch on the lawns of Elliston. After lunch we travel to Locks Well and admire the view and the man made 291 steps down to the Locks Well beach. We then travel on to the city of Port Lincoln; our camp tonight is amongst a colony of Koalas (BLD) Swag camping-Limited toilets and shower. Day 8 Mikkira
Today is an extreme day of fun! (Pre-booked) Those that dare come face to face with the Great White Shark on a day tour [optional experience $495]. Those of use that are not that daring will explore whalers way, after lunch we will swim and hand feed tuna - it is like swimming with lightening as these unique fish go into a frenzy while being fed as you snorkel your way around the ring. This tour is followed by a visit to Glen Forest Wildlife Park to have a relaxed visit with the wildlife you saw on the Nullarbor up close. Once the shark crew arrives back we head back to the Koalas at Mikkira Station (BLD) Swag camping-Limited toilets and shower. No electricity and limited Telstra mobile phone coverage. Day 9 Adelaide
This morning we head through to Whyalla and into Port Augusta and the Wadlata Cultural Centre. From Port Augusta we enter the bottom of the Southern Flinders Ranges and do our last bushwalk at Mt Remarkable then head into South Australia’s capital city Adelaide.
