There are two guided tour options; 2 days, 1 night or 3 days, 2 nights.

Please Note: Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island will be closed to the public from Friday September 3rd until Friday 17th September 2010. The Lake will re-open on Saturday September 18th.

This tour will visit Lake Birrabeen instead of Lake McKenzie during this time.

Itinerary

DAY 1 – HERVEY BAY – FRASER ISLAND

Swim with turtles at Basin Lake
Visit Central Station, the old logging community
Walk along the boardwalks at Wangoolba Creek viewing rare king ferns
Visit Pile Valley and the giant satinay trees
Swim at Lake Mackenzie

DAY 2 – FRASER ISLAND

Experience Beach driving along the 75mile beach highway
Walk or swim along Eli Creek
Visit the rusting hull of the Maheno Shipwreck
Relax in the Champagne Pools
Climb up Indian Head and enjoy the magnificent view of the Coral Sea
